Books to buy - Things to read - Now that I've got some spare time.
I'm not much of a book person during the better part of the year - mainly because I have enough reading from school to keep me occupied. Now that the exams are over, I've got my eye on a few books that I'd like to dive into.
I don't read novels (fiction) so most of the time I don't see the point in buying a book. If I need some information, I just Google it. It's always available and most of all, always up to date - especially when they are books about technical information that changes almost monthly.
More New Gear - SB600 and 2 Umbrella Stands
No more Alien Bees setup - at least for now. They were too expensive for what I wanted to do and too much equipment to lug around. Also, I wanted to be as mobile as possible so that I don't get bored of carrying all the equipment around and give up on anything. That's my biggest fear having invested almost $3000+ into my photo equipment. But I think Strobist and TFTTF will keep me busy and interested for a while - and they were the reason that I turned away from the Alien Bees setup.
Studio Lighting Resources - Videos, Diagrams, Photo walks and Photo shoots
So, now that I've decided to but some studio equipment, I thought I'd get a head start on learning all about that domain. I've been doing tons of reading, researching, watching and listening - Here is a catalogue of some of the sites and resources I have run across that I found very very useful.

Alien Bees Setup - Coming soon *Fingers Crossed*
Wow, it has been far too long since I posted anything here. My life for the past months has been - school, work, gym, homework, a bit of photography, eat and sleep. (Not exactly in that order, but you get the picture).
It's February, and in this part of Canada, it is one of the coldest and wettest months of the year. I would love to do another outdoor/nature photo shoot, but that will have to wait till it gets a little warmer.
Jan 13, 2008 - Model/Studio Photo shoot - My Experience
After I noticed that a few of my close friends were not camera shy and very photogenic, I thought I'd ask if they would mind posing for a few pictures. To my surprise, they were very enthusiastic about it and it turned out to be a great learning experience. Again, something that I want to document and improve on.
