Reset PS3 Video Setting - Blank Screen - How to switch from HDMI to Composite - Composite to HDMI

I ran across this problem when moving my Playstation 3 from my parents house to my house. I don't have an HD-TV(yet!!). So when I brough it over from my parents house (who have HDMI), to my TV (composite connection), the TV would just be blank.

This was because I had set the PS3 to output HDMI at my parents house, but forgotten to switch it to composite before bring it over to my house. So driving blind, I would never be able to find the menu to reset it.

By Sony had already though of this problem and there is an easy solution:

Make sure the system is off.
Hold down the Power Button for 5-6 seconds - until you hear the second beep.
That's it, your video settings are reset and you should be able to choose your input and configure it from there.

Simple!!

Update - If this didn't solve the problem, take a look at my updated list of solutions to get your PS3 working again!!

Thanks a bunch, our HD TV lamp went on us, so waiting for it to be replaced and brought out the old 28" and new it was an internal setting for HDMI but wasn't sure how to reset it, THANKS and for those of you who say it didn't work, your PS3 must be OFF before holding the power button down, unlike some other sites who don't specify or say to have it on, PS3 will beep 3 times if the system is on and then nothing happens,but with the system off it will beep twice and then will appear on your blank screen bringing a smile to your face :) THANKS
