Fri, 02/22/2008 - 01:18 The overall feel of the game pretty realistic however some things i would fix. i do agree witht he load issues and ESPECIALLY the sim dynasty that is a real pain, but the thing i dont like is the hitting. you literally have to run full speed and have them not move to deliver a bone crushing hit. this game they just kinda lose a bit of there balance and be on there way. the stick control with the analog stick is slightly jacked because if you move it even slighly inthe wrong direction when deaking you will accidentally shoot it and m ost likely not where you want it to go. there seems to be penalties out the ass in this game so i turned them off AND OOOOOO GOD WHY... WHY GOD WHY is the fighting still so unrealistic..... its like im fighting in virtua fighter CMON PEOPLE!!! i wish it looked just like the game does wiwth the ability to move around and use the environment slam them into boards. However for all its flaws it does deliver a pretty good experience i have yet to play 2K but i dont think i have to. For me this game is solid enough and i would reccommend it to any HOCKEY fan. if your just looking for a fun game to pass the time check out something like guitar hero. this game has alot to do with trades/stats and strategies. its not an arcade style game. the player models look fantastic, the stadiums ultra realistic, ice is tasefully done and not to overboard. i dont like the animations after they score though it seems to blurred to over the top in the background. The commentary i think is a very big improvement it is not repetive to much. and the goal horns are very realistic and are significant to each team. a bit confusing to learn at first but definitly a solid game outside some side issues. 7.8/10
