Kindle - Mixed reviews

Just like any big technology release, the Kindle is getting a lot of mixed reviews.

Forbes.com says buy, buy, buy, for Amazon Shares [NASDAQ:AMZN] because Kindle is a 'must have'.

Robert Scoble writes a letter to Jeff Bezos with a great rant about why the Kindle is the ugliest, and unusable thing since Windows??

ConuterNotions: Discusses the good and bad with a comparison against Apple and the 'iPod of...'

Make your own judgement!! But I think this debate completely depends on your comfort level with electronics.

For the general public (read: non tech-savvy) this little gadget is probably great since they don't think much about the menuing system, or the bad industrial design, or is lame looks. They don't pick apart how bad the UI is or functionality it's missing. All they care about is the two things that they bought it for... download books from Amazon, and subscribe to their favourite newspaper. As for all the bad things, they just find a work around. If they keep clicking the next page button because of the way they are holding the Kindle, they will just adapt and hold it differently. If it doesn't have the functionality to do something, they'll just find a computer and do it there.

Now if you are tech-savvy, then you will find a slew of things to criticize about...

So, which one are you, and what do you think about the Kindle?
