It turns out that high tech employment opportunities in Ottawa are actually higher than they were during the dot com boom. However, because of that bubble bursting, many students are afraid to enroll in computer science and related fields. Combine that with the retiring baby boomers and you get too many jobs for not enough grads. It's a great time to be in comp sci!
