I am going to be talking about something that is very near and dear to my heart. I didn’t think I would be revealing this to my blog audience so soon. I try to closely guard it because I’m not 100% proud of it. It is something that isn’t fully under my control, so bare with me while you read this… and please don’t poke fun.

I’m talking about my blog statistics. (What did you think it was going to be?..haha) .  I’m a photographer, a grease monkey (working on cars, bikes), code monkey, I love movies and music. I blog about them all, but yet, the posts that get the most attention from the WWW are ones that I made in passing just as observations. Posts about - Reseting PS3 Video Setting or about Connecting your PS3 or Xbox 360 Elite to your monitor.

That makes me a big sad. But on the flip side, this is a vehicle to bring an audience to my website, and then hope that they will explore my website further. It has worked so far, and I do get lots of traffic.
You can see what the top page views on my blog are about. To put this into perspective, my main blog page is 7th on the list.

Another statistic that I observed over the last week is the increase in pageviews of my two posts regarding the PS3. I’m attributing this to the world wide release of Grand Theft Auto IV. It’s a guess, but an educated guess.

Now that I’ve shared with you, where my blog traffic comes from, some of you will be able to empathise with me on this. Or maybe not, and I’m doing something horribly wrong to see this sort of pattern.

I know all of this has a perfect explanation – that is people search Google  for the stuff they care most about, and it’s mainly kids who are a bit more tech savvy, caring about their PS3s search Google for such things, causing such patterns.

Any other theories? I’d love to hear them.
