Wow, it has been far too long since I posted anything here. My life for the past months has been - school, work, gym, homework, a bit of photography, eat and sleep. (Not exactly in that order, but you get the picture).
It's February, and in this part of Canada, it is one of the coldest and wettest months of the year. I would love to do another outdoor/nature photo shoot, but that will have to wait till it gets a little warmer.
But on the other had, I did have a very successful model shoot, so I though I'd wrangle up a friends again, and take some pictures. I was debating on buying a studio light kit, and was very very close to buying the Opus L150, but then I read on a lot of forums and heard from a couple of people that Alien Bees are a good bang for the buck... So I've been researching into getting those strobes. It's going to be shipping from the US, so it could take week or so - And I've yet to place the order. In the mean while, I'm trying to arrange a rental kit for this weekend. I've gathered a few quotes, just trying to decide on the best setup.
Among the friends that are coming for the shoot, one of them in an aspiring model, so I 'm a bit intimidated, but also looking forward to Sunday.
I've received a lot of comments regarding my portfolio - I know it's not up yet, but I'm working on it - and slowly but surely, you will see the pictures. I promise!
That's all for now, I'm excited about Sunday's photo shoot, and can't wait to get my hands on the Alien Bees setup soon - I will write a review once I get the kit.
